Description

Escape the city crowds for one day and take a trip to a green oasis. The trip starts from Split where, accompanied by our guide, you head towards an air-conditioned and comfortable bus that will meet all your needs. When driving to the national park, the guide gives you all the instructions about the trip and historical, interesting facts regarding the places you pass on the way to the park. Krka is the seventh national park in Croatia known for its large number of lakes and waterfalls. It is named after the river Krka which is part of the park. The national park is located in central Dalmatia, 90 km away from Split. It covers the area along the river Krka, which springs at the foot of the highest mountain in Croatia, Dinara, and flows through a 75 km long canyon. Its beauty is a natural karst phenomenon, which is recommended to visit in spring and summer because it is in full glory then, and you can refresh yourself in clear water. The Jaruga hydroelectric power plant below the Skradinski buk (biggest waterfall) is the second oldest hydroelectric power plant in the world and first in Europe. It was built in 1895, just three days after the world’s first hydroelectric plant at Niagara Falls. While walking around the park you can visit a beautiful eco village that offers a real insight into history as it once was. A blacksmith shop, souvenir shop and museum are just some of the attractions that this village offers. After time spent in the park, our guide will accompany you on a boat ride which is really the highlight of the day. When getting off the boat you arrive in Skradin, a city that is one of the oldest in our area and the capital for Roman army drills. You will have some free time to take a swim at the beach where the sea and Krka river mix and enjoy all what the day has to offer. Our guides always do their best to make this trip a great memory for you, so come with us and lets do it together. At around 4:00 pm you are gathering to go back and your tour to Krka Waterfalls from Split is coming to its end.  This excursion can also be booked as a private excursion, where we can maximally adapt to your needs and desires.
